2018/2019 Pavement Preservation Project - 11/14/18 Update

Street

The City and Pavement Coatings Company, the City’s awarded contractor for the Pavement Preservation Project, will begin the 2018 project with pavement marking removals tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, 2018 and street preservation treatments anticipated to begin Thursday, November 15, 2018. Please note street treatments will consist of one, two or three-layer coatings to extend the life of the existing street pavement.

Due to the potential disruption during the Thanksgiving Holiday and the rain forecast, the City and Pavement Coatings Company have rescheduled the street treatment work previously scheduled for Monday, Nov.19th to begin on November 29, 2018.

For continuous updates on any possible changes due to weather, we will be updating information and schedules on the City of Morro bay website, City Facebook site and the mobile app. “Nextdoor.com”. Please note that the “no parking” restrictions may change.

For a map and schedule of which streets are included in the 2018 project, additional information about the Pavement Preservation Project, or any updates due to weather changes, please visit the Pavement Management Program web page.
