Police
The Morro Bay Police Department (MBPD) provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week law enforcement services to the City.
The Department is highly active in the community and helps with an annual National Night Out, Thanksgiving Community Dinner, the Special Olympics Torch Run, a Christmas-time Caroling Cop Cars event and Coffee with a Cop or Pizza with the Police events throughout the year.
The MBPD enjoys a variety of programs, including a Police Volunteer Program, a Police Explorer Program, and an active Neighborhood Watch Program, all which further promote community partnership.
MBPD officers undertake a variety of roles, including Patrol, School Resource Officer, Detectives, Explorer advisor, Regional SWAT Team Operator, Bicycle Patrol, and Drug Recognition Evaluator.
