City of Morro Bay to Appoint Andrea Lueker as Interim City Manager

Morro Bay, CA – The Morro Bay City Council will consider the appointment of Andrea Lueker as Interim City Manager during a Special Meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM. If appointed, Ms. Lueker will serve in the interim role while the City conducts a recruitment process for a permanent City Manager.

Ms. Lueker has previously held several leadership roles with the City of Morro Bay, including City Manager, Assistant City Manager, and Recreation and Parks Director. She has also served as Executive Director of the Morro Bay Community Quota Fund and as Harbor Manager for the Port San Luis Harbor District.

“On behalf of myself and the Morro Bay City Council, we warmly welcome Andrea Lueker as our Interim City Manager,” said Mayor Carla Wixom. “Her leadership and experience will be instrumental in guiding our community during this pivotal time.”

Ms. Lueker’s familiarity with the City and background in public service are expected to support continuity in City operations during this transition period.
