2017 PAVEMENT PRESERVATION PROJECT

Pavement Preservation Schedule Update - 4/4/17

Pavement Coatings Company, the City’s Pavement Preservation contractor, resumed work today, Tuesday April 4.  Two crews worked concurrently in different areas.  American Pavement Systems, the rubber chip seal subcontractor, completed all their scheduled work today and will continue tomorrow as originally planned.  Unfortunately, the start of the Microsurfacing work was temporarily delayed this morning due to the cold temperatures.  This prevented that crew from completing all work that was scheduled for today on Koa, Laurel and Maple.  These streets will be rescheduled to later next week.  All work planned for Friday, 4/7/17 is also likely to be rescheduled to next week due to the forecasted storm that is currently expected to arrive on Friday.

Please adhere to the ‘No Parking’ notices that will be reposted 72 hours in advance of the work day.

Thank you for your patience and for your consideration for all workers in and around these streets.

Please feel free to contact Jarrod Whelan, jwhelan@morrobayca.gov, for any project questions or quality concerns.  Time sensitive issues may be directed to Rick Sauerwein, Capital Projects Manager at (805)766-4352 or Pamela Newman at (805)772-6215.

Thank you,

 Morro Bay Public Works Department
