About the Academy
The Morro Bay Police Department Annual Citizen Academy provides community members with an inside look at the police department. The 10-week course gives citizens an overview of how the department functions and the various duties and assignments of its personnel. The Citizens Academy also serves as a recruitment tool for the Police Volunteer Group. Citizens completing the academy comment on how they never knew the police department does all the things we do and how they learned so much.
