Lila Keiser Park

About Lila Keiser Park
In the early 1970s former Morro Bay City Council Woman, Mrs. Lila H. Keiser (1900-1988) helped secured a land-lease deal with Pacific Gas and Electric for 10 acres of property located near Morro Bay High School. This property was developed into public park land, which included the only baseball/softball field within the City. Approximately 10 years later, the City began re-developing the park to include an additional baseball/softball field. Today, this park is not only used by park visitors, but is also the home of Little League, Coast Girls Softball, Morro Bay Men's Softball and other sports leagues. The Recreation and Parks Department is currently working on securing additional State funding to improve current park amenities.
