City of Morro Bay offers aquatic programming at Morro Bay High School, located at 235 Atascadero Rd; Morro Bay, Please take the second entrance into the high school.

Water temperature is approximately 78-80 degrees.  Pool is 25-yards by 35-meters.

A.M. Lap Swimming:  Offered Tuesday & Thursday ($5)

Levels

Level 1 Preschool Ages 3 - 5

This level is for swimmers to get used to the water, and learning basic water safety skills including but not limited to: safe entry into the water, blowing bubbles, going underwater, front float supported, back float supported, and climbing out of the pool. Focusing on getting comfortable in the water without parent/guardian.

Level 2 Freestyle Ages 5+

Beginner: This level is for swimmers to get used to the water, learn new water safety skills as well as build on previous skills including but not limited to: safe entry into the water, blowing bubbles, going underwater, front float unsupported, back float unsupported, flutter kick supported, freestyle arms supported and climbing out of the pool. 

Advanced: This level is for swimmers to learn new water safety skills as well as build on previous skills including but not limited to: safe entry into the water, side breathing, going underwater, front float unsupported, back float unsupported, flutter kick unsupported, freestyle arms unsupported, swimming freestyle unsupported and climbing out of the pool.

Level 3 Backstroke Ages 5+

This level is for swimmers to learn new water safety skills as well as build on previous skills. Skills including but not limited to: back float, flutter kick on back, backstroke arms, backstroke. As well as improving Freestyle skills.

Level 4 Breaststroke Ages 5+

This level is for swimmers to learn new water safety skills as well as build on previous skills. Skills including but not limited to: Breaststroke kick, Breaststroke arms, as well as improving Freestyle and backstroke skills.

Level 5 Butterfly Ages 5+

This level is for swimmers to learn new water safety skills as well as build on previous skills. Skills including but not limited to: dolphin kick, Butterfly arms, as well as improving Breaststroke, Freestyle and backstroke skills.

Swim Camp Ages 8+

Swim camp is for swimmers who have successfully completed the level program or who have the appropriate skill, can swim 25yard unsupported in the deep end of the pool, and want to improve their swimming abilities while having fun! 

Sunday Private/Semiprivate Lesson
Availability is based on staffing. Participants during the athletic season must be 3 years old or older. 
 
Private (price dependent on session length)
